Opened in October 2009, Yugenkai was set up by three passionate Kendoka who were studying,
and still continue to study at, Edinburgh Kendo Club under the direction of Steve Bishop 6th Dan.
Knowing that sometimes Edinburgh is 'too far' Yugenkai was opened to attract more people to the art of Kendo across the Kingdom of Fife.

Kendo is the combination of mind, sword & body together thus, creating harmony within whilst delivering a
'leathal blow'. Swords are replaced by Shinai (bamboo swords) to lessen the obvious dangers and when in
more formal teachings, Bokken (Oak swords) are used.
